So if there is nothing else to do, then I guess the phone's actual
Bluetooth support is just different from the advertised one.
Officially the phone supports SPP, according to all Specs on the net,
but at least mine does not advertise SPP, I also checked Linux with
sdptool and this is what I get:

# sdptool records 7C:61:93:78:F7:AF | grep "Service Name"
Service Name: Headset Gateway
Service Name: Handsfree Gateway
Service Name: Object Push
Service Name: BRCM Advanced Audio
Service Name: Phonebook Access PSE
