Thanks - his instructions really helped - of course it would help if I read every work first - it is not so obvious to non IT types that you right click and save the target. Usually you just click something and you either run it or save it.
But - just FYI - I did finally get everything on my cell and it is looking like it is supposed to look. Again just to add to your info bank. It seems that the GPS on the phone does not work in my office - it worked when I started it last night while driving - I will test it again tonight. I am not sure if it has to have movement to work??? Let me know if you have any quick notes on how to use it with CONDOR, like the blog you sent me. Again thanks for all your help - maybe someday I will have to make a XCSOAR for Dummies video and put it on YouTube :) Bill -----Original Message----- From: Simon Taylor [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, April 15, 2011 5:02 AM To: Bill Hanson Cc: Max Kellermann; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Xcsoar-user] Help Hi Bill, We've still got a long way to go before XCSoar can be considered user friendly, but the setup is hopefully the biggest hurdle. Richard Barber has written some excellent quickstart instructions for Android at http://xcsoar-android.blogspot.com/ - in particular note that the map files have to be copied to a folder named 'XCSoarData' on the storage card.
