Which version of XCSoar are you running?

6.1 supports task declaration to the Colibri and Nano (using the LX 
driver).  6.0 does not support this.

Regarding the inserting a waypoint.  Using the task manager, you have 
to click "add waypoint" which puts it at the end, then click the "Up" 
arrow to move it up.  Interesting point though -- what do you think 
would be easier?

Not sure about the out-and-return arrows.  Can you send a screen shot?
