What are your "safety margins"? Please see on the Config -> System Config -> 
(8) Safety Factors page, how do you have set the "Arrival height" and "Terrain 
height" options?
Maybe you have set some high value in "Terrain heigh" option, and therefore you 
see the red cross on the map.
