I sure don't want to start or perpetuate a bad rumor, just wanting to get
the latest facts.

A year or two ago there was some news of XCSoar and other open source
glider navigation programs being prohibited at US contests due to a concern
about sneaking in attitude flying instruments. At least this is what I had
heard....

Did XCSoar/open source nav programs get prohibited at US contests? Is this
prohibition effort dead or still alive?

I am getting back into soaring competition after many years away, and I am
planning on using XCSoar. Before I start training up with XCSoar I want to
make sure the US contests will let me use it!

I have already worked with XCSoar enough to see that it is a fantastic
program and will do everything I need PLUS! Great job, developers and team!

Cheers,
