Many of the wikis on www.freedesktop.org are still down. pkgconfig.freedesktop.org is, for example. That is a big problem because I can not download pkgconfig because its files are locatedd on pkgconfig.freedesktop.org/release.
So maybe there could be an FTP somewhere, that hopefully never goes down, where file releases can be hosted?
