Hello, folks. I've just submitted a patch that will allow for a template to specify multiple alternatives on tagName and paramName properties for tags that requires them.
This way we can finally modify the templates to use the proposed "ejb:persistence" tags and maintain backward compatibility. I'm currently working on modifying jbosscmp-jdbc_xml.j and I hope other people will help to modify other templates as soon as my patch is reviewed and commited. Things can go wrong. My patch may be bad and some people may not like it.
