Imho it's not worth to add a new branch for this case. Mainly because it
doesn't span a short finite period and then done. You would implement it
for jboss and orion now, who knows when jrun will support this tag?

I've seen a commit by Mathias which states beta 1 "is released September
21" (!) so you can start doing the refactoring on your local copy and
commit it on 22nd of September :-) Btw the websphere templates already
use this new parameter, but it's not documented. I can add docs for it
in ejb module, and list the app server modules which support it. When we
finish supporting it in all modules then we'll remove the list. The old
jboss:ejb-ref-jndi-name/etc tags should also be marked deprecated.
