I finally figured I had to install http://sourceforge.net/projects/cvs-syncmail in order to solve XDT-55 (http://tinyurl.com/2a21) so we can integrate CVS logs with JIRA.
This means the old CVSROOT/log_accum.pl script is gone, and syncmail is there instead. Currently the syncmail script isn't executable, and I can't change it myself. Here is a support issue i've raised: http://tinyurl.com/2a1w Until this is fixed by the SF staff, we won't get CVS diffs to xdoclet-devel, but when it is, we'll get them here AND in JIRA, as long as the commit messages contain the JIRA issue numbers, such as XDT-55 etc. Please get used to including issue numbers from now on when committing. Also, when implementing new features and fixing bugs that aren't previously recorded as JIRA issues, consider making a new JIRA issue prior to committing. This way we can generate our future change logs from JIRA in stead of from CVS logs. I think this is better, because CVS logs often contain a lot of crap and gory technical details, whereas in JIRA we'll more likely have more verbose descriptions of what's implemented.
