make sure you have the latest code (cvs or cvsgrab)

keep a copy of the original file and make a diff between that and your 
modified file. If you're on windows, install cygwin and use its diff, 
or find some other diff tool for windows.

We could. -but we wouldn't be able to open the JIRA iussue and quickly 
see what you changed. Developers tend to think: "Huh, what does this 
fix/change?". If they don't see it immediately, they move on to the 
next bug and leave it unchanged.

It's not because we're difficult people. It's because we have a lot to 
fix.

So please please make the patches yourself.
