Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: XDT-542
    Summary: weblogic-ejb-jar-xml.xtd doesn't handle
entity-cache/cache-between-transactions
       Type: Bug

     Status: Assigned
   Priority: Major

 Time Spent: Unknown
   Estimate: Unknown

    Project: XDoclet
 Components:
             Bea Module
   Versions:
             1.2 Beta 3

Assignee: xdoclet-devel (Use for new issues)
   Reporter: Alan Boshier

    Created: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 9:21 AM
    Updated: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 9:21 AM
Environment: Weblogic 7.0

Description:
In Weblogic 5.1 the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file supported the
<persistence>/<db-is-shared> element.

In Weblogic 7.0 this has been replaced by the
<entity-cache>/<cache-between-transactions> element. (Note that the Weblogic docs on
weblogic-ejb-jar.xml incorrectly define <cache-between-transactions> as being a child
of <persistence> but this is incorrect and the authoritative definition is given by
http://www.bea.com/servers/wls700/dtd/weblogic-ejb-jar.dtd.)

The XDT file for weblogic-ejb-jar.xml does not support this; presumably there needs to
be a cache-between-transactions parameter on @weblogic-cache to do this correctly.

Note that the XDT does allow for a cache-between-transactions subtag under
<entity-cache-ref> however, but it needs to support one under <entity-cache> as well.
