Title: RE: [Xdoclet-devel] Deploy a bean twice?

Upon further reflection I have to disagree with your statement that deploying a bean twice isn't generally useful.

Deploying a bean more than once is standard practice and explicitly supported by the EJB standard. It allows you to change deployment properties depending on the context the bean is used in. It is my understanding

that with entity beans this is also a very common practice.

Deploying a bean isn't xdoclet responsibility. If you're talking about
generating multiple ejb-jar.xml entries per bean, xdoclet can't do this
right now.

Also, I don't think there are any plans to do this, since it would add
quite some complication, and isn't generally useful. I think your best
option is to use merge files.
