Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: XDT-1156
Summary: hibernatecfg task too restrictive - ask for database properties
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Open
   Priority: Major

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: XDoclet
 Components:
             Hibernate Module
   Versions:
             1.2.2

Assignee: xdoclet-devel (Use for new issues)
   Reporter: Laurent Goujon

    Created: Mon, 15 Nov 2004 11:24 AM
    Updated: Mon, 15 Nov 2004 11:24 AM
Environment: Linux Fedora Core 2

Description:
hibernatecfg is great to generate hibernate.cfg.xml but when it is used, it's
required than the developper provides information about the databases like the
dialect, the driver, etc...

In fact, because hibernate can load several configuration files, it would be
great to use hibernatecfg task to generate a config file with only the mappings
and/or only the properties
