Hi Michael,

I'm sorry but i cannot confirm that. Which version of xdoclet are you using?

I tried it with the released version 1.2.2 and the latest sources from cvs and
neither complains when the ejb-name attribute is missing.

Can you please give us the source code of a bean class which produces the fault?

The only problem i discovered is that the websphere template uses a "jndi-name"
attribute in the "ejb.ejb-external-ref" tag which is not defined in the ejb
module's xtags.xml.

Magnus:
What is the status of our RFD about the "jndi-name" attribute in the ejb
module's tags. Should we open an issue in JIRA for the "jndi-name" attribute
bug in "ejb-external-ref"?

Regards,
Matthias

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: XDT-1250
Summary: webSphere ejb: ejb.ejb-external-ref does not work
       Type: Bug

     Status: Open
   Priority: Major

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: XDoclet
 Components:
             IBM Module

Assignee: xdoclet-devel (Use for new issues)
   Reporter: Michael Kopp

    Created: Thu, 27 Jan 2005 8:59 AM
    Updated: Sat, 29 Jan 2005 2:14 AM

Description:
It still requires the ejb-name to be specified although it is deprecated. And
if specified it searches for it an complains that it cannot find it. How should
it, it is an external EJB.
