Yes, XDoclet is still alive, but unfortunately this issue just doesn't seem to 
be considered a high priority. I think this is strange considering how long the 
bug has been open (> 1 year), how long JDK 1.5 has been out (> 7 months) and 
how many votes this defect has (must be by far the most in the xdoclet 
project?).  It even seems that most (?) of the work has already been done and 
contributed as patches.

This defect is apparently scheduled for the 1.3 release, but who knows how long 
before that gets released. Would anyone on the XDoclet team care to comment on 
when we might see this defect fixed?
