Description:
Hi,

On http://xdoclet.sourceforge.net/xdoclet/maven-plugin.html, it is stated that
the Maven plugin contains only the core dependencies and that others should be
added in your custom Maven project in order to use them. This was apparently
done for performance reasons.

Is this really necessary?

For me it doesn't seem logical to declare dependencies in your custom Maven
project that are only internally used by one plugin.

In my opinion, the only customization of Maven plugins should be done by using
properties (build.properties/project.properties) and if needed by influencing
the plugin goal execution order (maven.xml).
