Yes I've been wondering about that...the error message, from what I can
tell, doesn't really seem to directly correlate to the problem of not
being able to open a socket and retrieve a DTD, but the timing of the
the issue is unmistakable ;-). And unfortunately the parser doesn't
seem to obey the setting that says "don't validate the XML file". When
I get a spare couple of hours I'll see what I can do to fix this up.
