I'm trying to implement union-subclass as described in Hibernate reference docs 5.1.16:

...but reading through the XDoclet2 plugin documentation:
http://xdoclet.codehaus.org/HibernateTags#HibernateTags-hibernate.subclass
...I can only find implicit references to union-subclass.
Is this supported? I'm using Hibernate 3.0.2 and XDoclet plugin from xdoclet-plugins-all-1.0.zip
