Hibernate itsself supports the ability to return non-scalar types as result of
an sql-query. The types are specified using the sub-elements <return .../> and
<return-join .../> as described in the hibernate reference documentation on
page 167 or at
http://www.hibernate.org/hib_docs/v3/reference/en/html/querysql.html
Maybe this could be added to the hibernate plugin?
