maven2 xdoclet2 web plugin problems with mergefiles

when using mergefiles with xdoclet2 mvn2 plugin, the content of file
taglibs.jsp does not get included in the final web.xml, and file containing
servlet mappings must be named servlet-mapings.xml in order to be included in
the final web.xml
i am running maven2 on Ubuntu Linux
