All template-based tasks have that property, it's inherited from the
ancestor class.  Besides, you might override the templatefile property
and specify a custom template file which does have some merge points.

Just let us know where you need things adding (but raise an enhancement
request for it in JIRA as emails get overlooked or forgotten).

If you can't wait that long, you can download/checkout the source, edit
the template/subtask yourself, and rebuild.  If you do, remember that
uploading a patch gets you good karma :-)
