I had a similar problem a bit back. I am not at my dev machin right now
so I can't be sure but I think I had the values for the two names the
wrong way round.
Give it a go.
Other wise they are in the same .jar / .ear aren't they.

I'm trying to generate the util classes for my beans using
XDoclet. But, I
can't get it to work.
I want to use the getLocalHome() method, but this method fails
to lookup

I'm already using the @ejb.ejb-ref attribute in my Beans as
follows:
* @ejb.ejb-ref
* ejb-name = "User"
* view-type = "local"
* ref-name = "ejb/User"
What am I doing wrong here?
Can somebody help?
