I expected that there would be but all I could find was a page listing and (very) breifly describing the @jdo.* tags and a page that explained some of the atributes and nested elements (also quite briefly without example) the <jdodoclet/> task (both had prominent links on the left side of the page online). The downloaded docs seem to just be a replica of the online docs.

As it turns out I have managed to make it work on my own, one of the major stumbling blocks being the correct spelling of the word persistence :)

I'm having dificulty finding a good example of jdo
metadata generation that includes all of the following:

- Tags in source code
- Ant task usage
- The resultant XML output

When I googled I found that the first and last item
are common but the Ant task usage I havn't found. My favorite lack of
example so far is "run xdoclet over it." :) (How!?) The documentation
for the jdometadata task on the xdoclet site seems both sparse and
incomplete in several places. Having written tasks for ant I could go read
the source but I was hoping there would be something slightly
friendlier out there since there will likely be some xdoclet specific stuff
that will take time to understand in the source. Any help would be
appreciated.

there ought to be be example in xdoclet source distribution. and as for OR mapping - hibernate is my favorite.
