I believe someone once tried this, but perhaps they weren’t doing it correctly. I’ve installed updates to XCP1.1 from patches for XenServer 5.6 (including SP2), but have never done so with XCP1.6 and XenServer 6.x, so I do not know what to expect. It would be really nice if those updates in the 6.x XenServer release were also applicable, or automatically notified for patch.
