Hi,

have you installed the transfer-vm package? Please have a look here.
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Using_XenCenter_to_manage_XCP#Fix_.233_to_enable_the_Import_feature_of_XenCenter
When I tried this myself, I had to run the install script of the transfer-vm
package to get it actually running.
The script is in
/opt/xensource/packages/files/transfer-vm/install-transfer-vm.sh
If others can second this, should we add this in the wiki?

Kind regards
Torsten

Betreff: [Xen-API] Exporting ovf from xencenter

HI all
this is my first post in this list so I hope i do it right.
My problem

I want to export a linux vm in ovf format to store locally on my PC or
elsewere. Using Xencenter (6.1) _DO_NOT_WORK _
I am getting a "failed to export" message with no other explanations

Is there :

1) a fix for this
2) another (simple) way to do this trivial operation

I am using XCP 1.6.10 on a DELL T110 (64bit)

Googling I have seen that other have the same issue but couldn't find a
solution

Many thx in advance
