Just as an observation, while I can see how from your pov (judging from your not-exactly-review-comments) patch 2 may be a prereq to one of my changes, I don't think I'd call patch 1 a prereq to anything - this is cleanup which can be done at any point. Of course it'll allow me to shrink that one of my patches, which is certainly nice. Jan
