Do you have both Xen and Solaris consoles going
to the serial port?

e.g.

   kernel$ /boot/$ISADIR/xen.gz com1=9600,8n1 console=com1
   module$ /platform/i86xpv/kernel/$ISADIR/unix 
/platform/i86xpv/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -k -B console=ttya


then ctrl-a, ctrl-a, ctrl-a, q, ctrl-a, ctrl-a, ctrl-a

if you log into the system and run intrstat
what do you see?
