Currently there are no guest drivers available for any OS that could potentially help glitches or other virtualization ailments. Efficiency wise, VMware is still marginally a better performer across different hardware, with some rare occasions in which xVM (Xen) can deliver close performance. This is just a personal observation, try it if you like, but make sure you keep your OpenSolaris machine on the most current build when you notice major Xen features coming down the pipeline, so things are fixed, and you have a more pleasant experience.
