A snv91 PV install also had this message, but installed
just fine. John already mentioned that is should be harmless.

Solaris PV installs always generate this at
CentOS 5.X Dom0s and doesn't do that at F8 Dom0,
regardless in both cases i use LVMs

This is unrelated with the above message.

It indicates a missing feature in your dom0 kernel.

Most likely the filesystem that you use in dom0 for the
disk backend files / backend devices doesn't support
"barrier" feature (e.g. no flush disk cache support).
IIRC, linux EVMS is one example with missing  barrier
support.
