It's done, thanks joe . Referring to the link. I skipped step 1,2, and 3. first, there is no need to build a new boot environment, second, the packages been given to be installed in step two are already available in OpenSolairs SXCE, it will be only required for those who are using OpenSolaris 2008.11 or 2009.06 releases.
Step three, was about running the AWK script. It actually an important step since it will out the correct lines needed to be added to the grub menu. Frankly, I tried to run it but it complained about step 10,11, and 12 as they are an illegal lines. Whatever, some output been given as an example of how it is going to be. I copied and I modified it. I rebooted along with some failures, but it did work at the end. Here is the correct lines that I added to my grub menu: title OpenSolaris with xVM findroot (pool_rpool,0,a) kernel$ /boot/$ISADIR/xen.gz module$ /platform/i86xpv/kernel/$ISADIR/unix /platform/i86xpv/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -B $ZFS-BOOTFS,console=text module$ /platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive don't forget to make a copy of your original grub menu file. The last step is to enable or to activate the xVM services, in our case they will be online the moment you boot. Thanks again joe, without your help I would never made it. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ xen-discuss mailing list [email protected]
