The only virtualization option I can think of on a v480 is zones, and as an 
obvious result you are limited to Solaris OS. You can run Solaris 8/9/10 
branded zones, but as most sparc linux is best effort (at best), I doubt you 
will find a "linux" branded zone for SPARC architecture.

Your best bet is to get an x86 architecture machine if you want to virtualize 
x86 OS's. You can use the v480 (or a pair of them for HA) as NAS servers to 
store the backend disk images (iscsi or vdisk/NFS) for a group of x86 servers.
