I'm running an Opensolaris domU on Xen with a Linux dom0. Xen is version 3.3.1, I'm running the Genunix.org build 130 of Opensolaris. I have the uuid defined in my domU configuration file, but this doesn't seem to affect the fact that the hostid is different every single time the domU boots. For some reason this doesn't affect the root ZFS pool, which imports fine, but I also have a ZFS pool that is mirroring two physical disks that I have to manually and forcibly import every single time I boot the domU. The /etc/hostid file exists, but Opensolaris seems to be ignoring it and just randomly generating a new host ID every single time. Can anyone help with this?
