I did get Lucid to boot, the issue is with pygrub, it doesn't know how to deal with ext4 and grub2. I just copied the kernel and initrd out to the OSol dom0 and used those to boot the VM. A little irritating to maintain, but it will work for now. Too bad we don't have the more recent Xen versions available to us.
