DOM_XMLDecl vs. DOM 3 changes

Hi,

Has there been any discussion or plans on what to do about the DOM 3 changes
which essentially make the DOM_XMLDecl node obsolete?  The DOM 3 adds new
get/set (attributes) to the Document interface to handle everything that
DOM_XMLDecl does.
