As far as I can tell, there is none that will work. There is
SAXParser::XMLDecl( ), but that is a no-op in xerces, according to the
documentation. I tried to over-ride that method my inheriting SAXParser
and parsing with my new parser, but it seems that method was never called.
I don't know of a way to get the encoding without the XMLDecl. Any
suggestions?
