just my $0.02. Sun EOLed the sunpro 4.2 version some time ago (regardless of OS version). I remember trying to buy the 4.2 media from Sun back in Nov 99. Not available... So you won't get patches for 4.2 issues. I know this because we've experienced several problems with 4.2 on Solaris 2.6 & the official answer is 'try forte'. So we are in the middle of migrating to forte. Not quite as seamless as one would hope for but that's life.
