Core dump if XML file more than 2GB

Guys,   We're using xerces 1.4.1 (SAX 2.0) on Solaris. We've got a core dump while parsing a file that's bigger than 2 GB.   Is this a known problem and is there a solution ?   Thanks Dannyboy.
