Child Node of Entity Node Problem with Xerces 1.6

Hello,
     I wanted to verify if this is an open bug or a new bug I am encountering with 
Xerces 1.6.  The problem I am encountering is being; Xerces 1.6 is not returning 
information on the Child Node of an Entity Node.  Is this a known bug?  Thank you for 
your time.
