it was a misunderstanding. If you only have spoken about internal Interface
please
do not misunderstand my commnents.
But may be that you are able to standardize the framework you want to
build.

I'm not removing the SAX parser from the standard Xerces2
codebase. But our *internal* interfaces currently rely on
SAX and that's where I'd like to remove the dependency.

The standardized interfaces aren't good enough for the
kind of infrastructure we're trying to build. And we
can't wait for some standards body to decide that they
want to define this framework. As far as I know, noone
is doing this work because it's an "implementation
detail". But since we *are* working on implementation
it makes sense for us to define our own internal
interfaces.
