http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=11831 Extremely slow with long attribute values ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-09-11 19:23 ------- Hello. A couple of comments: 1. The patch you submitted seems to have been reversed for some reason. Also, in this community we're generally used to context diffs; so please use the -u option when making a diff. 2. How did you test this patch? Would it be possible for you to provide a sample where Xerces processes attributes slowly, as well as data showing performance before and after this patch? It would also be useful to know something about the procedure you're using to derive the measurements (are you counting the first few parses in an average, how many parses go into computing an average, etc.) Once I massaged the patch into something I'm used to reading :-), it's not obvious to me why it's an improvement. Indeed, it looks on the surface like it might require more method calls and some looping to determine new array sizes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
