http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=22251 Xerces uses internal Sun classes Summary: Xerces uses internal Sun classes Product: Xerces2-J Version: 2.5.0 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Serialization AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Specifically, Xerces uses sun.io.CharToByteConverter. This causes two problems: 1. Xerces is no longer a "pure" Java application, since using internal Sun classes is a no-no. 2. Native compilation using GCJ fails, since that compiler currently implements very few of the internal classes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
