Key: XERCERJ-63
Summary: DTMNodeProxy not Importable into other DOMs
Type: Bug
Status: Resolved
Resolution: FIXED
Project: Xerces2-J
Assignee: Joe Kesselman
Reporter: Joe Kesselman
Created: Tue, 13 Nov 2001 8:57 AM

Environment: Operating System: All
Platform: All
Description:
Reported by "Rick Bullotta" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> at
11/13/01 09:57 AM.
The problem appears to be that the Xerces DOM's implementation of importNode()
calls getDOMImplementation on the node being imported -- and DTMNodeProxy does
not currently support that operation, throwing an exception instead.
Workaround is to use one of the user-level tree-copying routines rather than
importNode.
Fix would be to create a static singleton object that all DTMNodeProxys would
return in this case, which would implement the DOMImplementation interface.
Not hard;
