Thanks, my fault for not understanding this, and can deal with it. 

On a purely intellectual pursuit stream of thought, It is an interesting design
decision. Perhaps I am not using xml the way most do, but I can't imagine that
this 'filtered view' concept has alot of value, especially since it is read
only. I don't recall ever wanted to hold onto a view for extended periods of
time, during which modifications were made. But again, perhaps, i use xml
differently than the mainstream. Most of my DOM use has been hunt and peck
searches, rearrangements, and the like.
