Thanks Andy. Yes, we 'stole' the usage from the dc: crowd, works nicely. At NISO in the states they are standardising a DTD for use by the DAISY org (www.daisy.org), and have half used namespaces. Out of a total of 7 DTD's one has this 'improper' ns usage.
I was hoping you meant that, and not that it was problematic parsing a namespaced instance! Hopefully I can simply set the appropriate property and validate? Regards DaveP
