I apologise.  I hadn't read the updated documentation on the website, and
was basing my question on my understanding from when the properties were
first mentioned on this list.  I was under the impression that values in
the document took precedence over values specified by the properties,
which it appears is not the case.

The way the documentation describes is the way I need the properties to
work.
