Hi Roger, I'm currently working on providing the support of "anyType" (and "anySimpleType") for Xerces-J. Hopefully it will be in CVS early next week. (It might go in today, it things go well :-))
Could you be more specific on "nor does it understand an element for which no type is specified". We do support this (to some degree) now. Is the result not the same as what you expected? Could you post the error message you got?
