I'm using XERCES-J on these two different platforms:
IBM with AIX 4 and a MAC with Suse Linux.
the Linux machine use java version "1.2.2"
Classic VM (build Linux_JDK_1.2.2_RC4, native threads, nojit)
The AIX java full version "JDK 1.1.8 IBM (JIT enabled: jitc V3.1-JDK1.1-)"
The IBM one using JIT is about 3 times quicker that the Linux one.
Has anyone made any test on these different machines to test performances?
Do you have any result ?
