Hi Don,

Andy Clark already responded to your question about getting the Xerces-1 code from CVS.

Regarding your question on the value of reporting bugs against Xerces-1, I'd say that it's definitely worthwhile, particularly if the bugs are very pressing matters for you.  Xerces-2 doesn't yet support all of the major functions that version 1 of the Xerces-J parser did, and it will be some time before it catches up.

Thanks,

Henry

Subject:        Xerces CVS Repository

Hi guys

Before reporting some bugs I checked out the latest Xerces code from CVS to
make sure the bugs were not already fixed.  The files I was interested in
were in the org.apache.xerces.readers package, but the files have been
removed with the "Merge/move of Xerces 2 to the trunc! " log entries.

Where can I get the latest Xerces code if it is not available from the CVS
Repository ?
Is there any point logging bugs against Xerces, or should our efforts be
towards Xerces 2. ?

Any help to the above questions would be very much appreciated.

Regards

Don O'Leary
