Hi Tracy,

I'm not sure what you mean by upgrading.  Are you asking what
version of Java is required for Xerces and Xalan?

I currently use Xerces 2.0.1 and Xalan 2.3.1 on OS X.

%> java -version
java version "1.3.1"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build
1.3.1-root-020219-20:07)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1, mixed mode)
