Hi, i am quite new to Xerces and jaxp, but have some history in using XML. Perhaps you can help me understanding a few concepts.
Right now i am using jaxp with the default parser. There i am mainly using Dom2 for retrieving and changing my documents. 1. with xerces 2.x we have a bootstrap mechanism which is defined in dom3. This is quite nice, but what about the bootstraping in jaxp? Will it be obsolete? 2. If i want to have pretty-printed output from an in-memory tree, is the only way to use org.apache.xml.serialize or should we use the dom3 DOMWriter for this? Thx for any input on this.... IMO its not so easy to understand all, cause DOM3 is not really finished (or?) and Dom2 has limitations and Parser dependent technology is also not the best way to do it.
